First Swimming Lesson

Riley had his first swimming lesson today with Daddy. He wasn't very happy, but Daddy pushed him through it. On a positive note he liked walking on the floaty and jumping to Daddy and he loved getting licorice after it was over. Hopefully his next lesson will go better.

Ocean Festival and Soccer Tournament

This morning we to the Ocean Festival at the San Clemente Pier with Jared, Lindsey and Aven. Riley ran up and down the pier and watched the "eeng" (that's how Riley says surfing). 

And then we had a yummy breakfast at The Fishermans.

We met up again later in the afternoon in Fullerton to watch Aunt Kadyn play in her soccer tournament, her team won 1-0.

Riley LOVED sitting in Aunt Lindsey's lap, it was so cute, he just wanted to play with Auntie.

Paul took these pictures of Riley today and I had to post them because they are so funny! I'm not sure why Riley is only wearing a diaper and rain boots but I LOVE IT!

Fishies

Today we went to the Long Beach Aquarium and Riley absolutely LOVED it. He ran from tank to tank saying "FISHIES"! He didn't seem real interested in the sharks but he did touch a sting Ray!

Mesmerized by the sea lions After the aquarium we had lunch and Bubba Gump's. Riley had his 1st garlic shrimp and loved it. Is there anything this kid wont eat?

Orange County Fair

We went to the fair this weekend and decided to try some of the greasiest food we could find! (why not)? Last year we ventured for the chicken sandwich between crispy cream doughnuts, but this year we opted for a few new things....

1st, Paul had to win Riley a stuffed turtle, which he did.

These are a few of the items we didn't try...Deep Fried chocolate dog and deep fried cupcakes!
We did have one of these HUGE sausages with onions and Peppers, it was SO good!
These are deep fried Oreos (we could only eat 1 each) and a deep fried White Castle Burger (which Paul said was "interesting"). I couldn't manage to take a bite.

San Luis Obispo

We decided to take a quick trip to San Luis Obispo to visit Paul's Family... We stayed at Paul's Brother Ryan's Ranch. In the past Riley didn't like the horses, but on this trip he was much more interested in them!

On Our way up we always stop at Jacks Deli in Westlake, Riley LOVES the Pickles there!

Cousin Trey makes the funniest faces!Paul, Riley, Ryan, Colton, Trey, Grammy and Eric with new cousin Owen! Then we went to the "Club" so the boys could swim and play with the water cooler :)

Carlsbad with T.E.A.M. Phillips

Today we went to Carlsbad San Diego to spend the day with Tabitha, Eric, Alicia and Marshall (AKA T.E.A.M. Phillips, how cool is it that their names are an acronym)! Thanks for having us T.E.A.M. it was a great Day! And thank you Marshall for sharing your trains with Riley :)

Pancakes, Fun and Fireworks!

Our day started with an annual pancake breakfast at our church. (Thanks Grandpa for cooking and Grandma for the Mickey Mouse Pancakes). Pauls Grandma Patsy came with us and Riley brought his Thomas Train to ride in the kids Bike Parade.
