Farrell's Ice Cream Parlor

The 1st time we went there was a 2 hour wait so we decided to try another night and early time; we went Tuesday at 4:30 and only waited 10 minutes. It brought back memories from Paul's childhood and hopefully the start of some new memories for Riley. It was delicious and I cant wait to go back and try another sundae!

My pal Herbie

I love to hear Riley's laughter when he chases Herbie through the house. Riley can never catch him, but he never gives up!

5 weeks to go!

5 weeks from now we will get to meet our daughter and baby sister Sidney Anne. I couldn't be more excited or grateful to have this sweet spirit join our family! I am overwhelmed with Joy and excitement as we prepare our home and hearts for her. Will she have red hair like her brother? Will she be a good sleeper like he was? We just cant wait to meet her! Any idea's for a new name for our blog?

Nice...

My one and only constant craving throughout this pregnancy is this bottle of vinegar. I drink it a few times a day! I pour a sip into the cap and it completely satisfys me!!! Its sweet yet salty and has all satisfaction of a snickers bar! (PS its also a great salad dressing)! It disgusts Paul to no end, but I cant help it! A little back story... My dad used to feed me sips of this when I was a little girl, evidently I loved it then too and I called it "NICE". My brothers and sisters will admit that they to enjoy a sip of "nice" every now and then too!

Riley McQueen

Today was Riley's Halloween Party at his Pre School. I haven't blogged about his OBSESSION for race cars and Lightning Mcqueen but let me tell you its HUGE! He sleeps with his cars, bathes with his cars and carry's them in his backpack where ever he goes! It was only natural that he would wear his "McQueen Pit Crew" costume and he looked spectacular if I do say so myself and Aunt Kadyn and Grandma came to watch the Parade and hang out for the party too!

To funny

My mom bought Riley some big boy underware to help with the potty training process which Riley has NO interest in accomplishing... When he 1st opened the underware at her house he tried to shove it through the doggy door (I wish I had a picture). When we got in the car he said "mom I need my big boys" so I handed them to him. When I turned around this is what I saw. He said "Look mom I'm spiderman"! What? I have no idea why he thinks this makes him Spiderman but it made my day, I NEEDED A GOOD LAUGH!

Bows

When we 1st found out that we were expecting a girl my VERY crafty cousin Chelsea sent me some adorable homemade bows. She had the great idea of using the clips on the back to attach to headbands so that you could switch them out and get more use out of more bows! Her bows gave me the great idea of making them myself and now I cant stop! I find myself in front of the TV while the boys are watching sports a few times a week making them! I've also found some great online stores for materials at wholesale (Michaels was getting a little pricey) and I don't feel as bad throwing away the mess-ups when I can get materials for so cheap! Here are some of the bows I have finished and I don't see the end in sight!

Pumpkin Patch

One of my favorite parts of October is visiting the pumpkin patch. We went last week and the rainy weather made it feel just like fall!

Trash Truck

Tuesday's at our house begin as early as 6:30 am when Riley hears the sound of the 1st Trash Truck of the day driving down the street. We have 3 different trucks that drive down our street throughout the day so that means 3 trips outside to watch them.

Jumping!

Jumping on our new trampoline is a new daily activity. Unfortunately our back yard is small but luckily they make 8 foot trampolines small enough to fit! And it was no surprise that Riley figured out a way to play soccer in it.

Sunday Afternoons

Now that Football season has started this is what my boys are doing on Sunday's. I LOVE that Paul likes matching with Riley and that Riley LOVES wearing his football jersey (any jersey for that matter). We're sad that Angels Baseball season is coming to an end but at least we have Football and Basketball to look forward too!

Lets Go Fishing

This game has become a new favorite of Riley's. Not a day goes by where Paul and I don't get the pleasure of playing this game with him (haha, we are both so sick of it)! Its a little loud and its actually kind of hard but its great for Riley's motor skills and when he gets a fish he loves yelling "I caught one"!!!!

Forts

While we have all been sick with bronchitis we have been spending a lot of time in the house. Its been a great excuse for Riley to build forts with the couch and he LOVES it! I love how excited he gets, it reminds me of when I was little and built forts with my brothers.
