Happy Mothers Day!

Happy Mother's day to all the Mommy's who read my Blog! This is such a wonderful day and I am so blessed that my Mom is MY Mom and Mem-mom to my babies.  I am so grateful to have the privilege of being a Mom to Riley and Sidney, they are my precious angels and make EVERY day worth while.

 

This is what Riley brought home from School for me. It SO funny, especially because all his comments have to do with things that we happened to do that week. Like Wash the car and clean the closets....

Sidney's 1st taste of food... Carrots. Riley insisted "I DO IT MOM"! So he did, she loved it! 

Spring Garden show

We went to the SPRING GARDEN SHOW at South Coast Plaza/Crystal Court. I had no Idea what a HUGE deal it was. There were SO many beautiful displays and plants. Honestly, the only reason I took Riley was to see the "Red Worms" in the kids area. But we ended up with some great idea's for our garden (wish me luck, I kill everything I try to plant) and watched an very interesting presentation about bee's. Here are a few things I learned...

* While a female solitary bee lays only a few eggs in her lifetime, a queen honeybee lays thousands.

*A male bee's only job is to mate with a female and the males die shortly after mating

* Most male bees do not even have the structures necessary to make wax or carry pollen, so males in social species cannot contribute to the daily work that goes on in the hive. In fact, female honeybees usually force surviving males out of the nest before winter or when food becomes scarce.

 I thought this information was VERY funny! 

You may have noticed that halfway through the photo's Riley is wearing a new Track Suit... That's because there is an Adidas store in Crystal Court and when we went in Riley took off his clothes and put on a new outfit. Seriously, stripped right down to his undies and said "this one Mom"! Newest Costco find

 I love hummus, I love all the flavors it comes in (especially the jalapeno flavor) and all the food you can eat with it!  Pretzels, veggies, apples, on a bagel and mixed with tuna in a sandwich (I swear its so good) and of course Pita chips. I was so excited when I saw these individual cups at Costco. To bad my kids aren't old enough to take lunches to school but if they were I would for sure be putting these in them!

We didn't realize it was school picture day when we sent Riley to school wearing this shirt. But we are SO happy we did! I am sure Sidney will appreciate it in the years to come but for now its giving Paul and I a good laugh. Riley actually adores his sister.... Holding her face and calling her "Sweet Pea". Thanks Aunt Jami for the awesome T-shirt!

Go Angels!

This is the 1st game Paul and Riley have been to this season and they made it a "boys night" with cousin Aven and Uncle Jared. Could these boys get any CUTER!!!

Riley Bug

This is the art project Riley brought home from school today... I absolutely love it and cant help but laugh every time I look at it! It's ironic that we call Riley "Riley Bug" and here he is as a "bug"! haha We just love this Boy!

Long Beach Grand Pre

It was loud, it was awesome! We didn't stay long but we stayed long enough for Riley to see the race cars and he loved it! Believe it or not Sidney slept through the entire thing (We had ear plugs for her). Any Red car that drove by Riley said "MC QUEEN"! aka Lightning Mc Queen. 

This guy was classic! He has been coming to the race for over 30 years! He knew every in and out of every car and driver... Where to watch during what times of the races etc.

ARSHAVIN

Riley has been playing soccer since he could walk. It started when Paul built a hockey net into his playpen and gave him a ball. Riley loves wearing his jersey's, ANY sports jersey actually and I often hide them so he doesn't wear them everyday! He calls his red soccer kit/uniform (that he is wearing in the video below) "Arshavin's". It's funny because he is referring to Andrei Arshavin who plays for the Arsenal FC but his red kit is actually the uniform for Liverpool FC. Anyways, here he is below showing his skills and a few pictures of his playpen...

When we go out to Dinner  Paul usually does all the ordering (because he always orders the best stuff)! I never would have eaten this had I known what it was but it was soooo goood! So I guess I like carpaccio, aka raw beef!
